Mr. Thomas Mathew, ED(QA)/NPCIL

Shri Thomas Mathew, is B.Tech.Mechanical and joined Department of Atomic Energy in the year 1988. After completion of one year training from 32nd Batch of Training school, joined NPCIL in year1989.

He is an Outstanding Scientist and currently holding the post of Executive Director (Quality Assurance), since 27th May 2022 looking after complete Quality Assurance & surveillance functions of various functional areas of different type of Reactors.

During his carrier he has worked in the functional areas like procurement of systems, packages & equipment, design & engineering, Regulatory Interfaceetc for Nuclear Power Plants.

He has integratedthe complete design & detailed engineering of 700 MWe Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs)in 3D engineering environment and worked towards obtainingvarious Regulatory consents for 700 MWe Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors from Regulatory Body.

He has established a fully matured computer aided 3D model-based engineering center and Plant Life Cycle Management system in NPCIL.
