Dr. S Thirunavukkarasu, IGCAR

Dr. S Thirunavukkarasu, is currently heading Electromagnetic Measurements and Structural Integrity Section of Non-Destructive Evaluation Division in Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. He obtained his post graduation in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu and Ph.D in Engineering Sciences from Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. His research interests include numerical modelling and inverse problems in Electromagnetic NDE, image processing and development of novel electromagnetic NDE sensors and systems. He is an ASNT NDT Level III in Electromagnetic Testing. He is a recipient of the National NDT Award for his contribution in NDT systems innovations and development in the year 2015 and also a recipient of DAE group achievement award in 2016. He is an active member of ISNT and PFMB working group on Electromagnetic NDE. He has over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit and is actively in involved in guiding M.Tech, doctoral students of HBNI.
